Turntable Station treats asset review as a repeatable production system. It analyzes the source, normalizes presentation without touching upstream data, builds conservative camera framing, and records the environment, render and output decisions so one review can be compared honestly with the next.

Fit and frame automatically
Analyze static or animated bounds and frame the asset with safe margins. Show References in Beauty includes the calibration set in the composition; hide it to frame the asset alone.
Compare materials against useful references
Judge lighting and color beside a measured 24 patch reflectance chart, an 18% matte grey ball and a physically plausible polished metal ball. A metric scale cube and matching ball diameter follow USD scene units, with automatic or explicit metric sizes.
Render useful review passes
Build Karma CPU beauty, normal, depth and Cryptomatte outputs. Dedicated Calibration Still renders the reference set without the asset for each enabled beauty environment, using the same exposure, color management, resolution and output profile.
Deliver the review clearly
Create OCIO aware PNG or JPEG contact sheets with consistent labels, along with manifests that record the source, recipe, capabilities and completed jobs.
Reuse or bake the setup
Export path free recipes for repeatable review standards, or bake an immutable native LOP snapshot that no longer depends on the product HDA or original source network.

01Can I buy Turntable Station separately?
No. Turntable Station is available only as part of Freelancer Pack, together with DeliveryDesk and Preflight.
02Does Turntable Station modify the source USD?
No. It authors beneath its own persistent wrapper and does not write to the upstream layer, USD file or SOP network.
03Can it create static reviews as well as animation?
Yes. Choose an animated turntable or define a precise set of static review angles for each selected environment.
04Which renderer is supported?
Turntable Station supports Karma CPU in Houdini 20.5, 21 and 22.
05What do the calibration references measure?
The 24 patches use measured N Ohta spectral reflectance data converted to scene linear ACEScg under D60 illumination. Grey and chart surfaces retain physical dielectric reflections; the polished metal ball is a lighting reference, not a certified chrome measurement target. Use ACEScg to preserve the full measured color set: narrower working spaces can clip patches, and the reference status reports that limitation.
06Does the metric reference show the original asset size?
Use Physical Scale to compare original real world dimensions. Canonical Fit normalizes the presentation, so automatic reference sizing follows that normalized result. Explicit 1 cm, 10 cm, 1 m and custom metre sizes use the stage's metersPerUnit metadata.
04How does the annual license work?
The annual license renews automatically each year until canceled and includes product updates and supported Houdini builds while active.
